Decisions!

Are you aware that no matter whom you are, no matter how old you are or no matter how you feel about yourself or even what you have done in the past! The moment you give your life over to Jesus you can no longer make independent decisions. Why because you and your life matter.

We might like to think that we can make independent decisions and free choice allows us to over ride some of those ‘intense’ moments but saying yes to Christ means that God’s purpose for you clicks into gear.

It doesn’t mean we become a robot but it makes us conscious that there is help and guidance through a God who will strategically order your steps. The sovereignty of God means we don’t have to worry about the outcome. God is in complete control, even though it will not be easy to see it at the time.

God gets much of the blame for the whens and whys when things go wrong. But God works out his purposes through humans just like you; God reveals his plans and purposes for individuals, churches, towns and nations through humans too. The critical point is how do those humans respond, in positive ways or negative?

Thank God that he has given good plans for your life and his purposes will ultimately prevail. Because if you have accepted that Jesus is your Saviour then you are one of those humans given responsibility for carrying out God’s plan in your life, your family, your church, your town and your nation.
